![]() SRN Marketing Partner Frequently Asked Questions · What is Strategic Research Network? Strategic Research Network (SRN) is a national Internet Research and Online Marketing company. Rather than working with clients directly, SRN fulfills projects through a network of independently owned offices (we refer to them as SRN Researchers) that we train and support. SRN Researchers help their clients sell more by utilizing the SRN Sales and Marketing System - a combination of Internet Research and Online Marketing strategies. An SRN Researcher’s clients are typically recruiting companies, B2B sales divisions, and human resource departments that benefit from having names, phone numbers, and email addresses of potential buyers for their goods and services. Sales leads they can’t get anywhere else. · What does an SRN Marketing Partner do? Marketing Partners work with SRN Researchers to market and sell their Internet Research and Online Marketing services. They are trained and supported by both SRN and the SRN Researcher they are assigned to. Marketing Partners benefit from the same high-quality sales leads and online marketing support that SRN Researchers provide to clients. Marketing Partners work from their own home office and are paid a portion of the business they secure for the SRN Researcher. Marketing Partners work as the liaison between the Researcher and client throughout the life of the project, handling contract negotiation, billing, and some aspects of the ongoing client relationship. · How do Marketing Partners make money? As a Marketing Partner you’re paid a portion of the revenue you generate for the SRN Researcher you work with. You are, in effect, starting your own home-based business. You just don’t have to invest any money to do it and there’s no ceiling on what you can earn. · What type of training and support will I receive as a Marketing Partner? As a Marketing Partner you will be trained by SRN’s corporate training staff and supported by the SRN Researcher you are assigned to. Marketing Partners receive sales leads and marketing support from their assigned SRN Researcher and have access to SRN's support team for any questions they may have. · What services do SRN Researchers offer their clients through a Marketing Partner? SRN Researchers and Marketing Partners furnish clients with the SRN Sales and Marketing System. It utilizes a combination of Internet Research and Online Marketing tactics to integrate sales and marketing efforts and immediately increase sales for client companies. Learn more about the services, and how they help an SRN Researcher’s clients increase sales in the SRN Researcher section of our website. · How much money can I make as a Marketing Partner? That depends largely on you. Your revenue production will depend heavily on your aggressiveness, how hard you work, and the dedicated effort you put into what you are doing. Marketing Partners who are trained and supported by SRN and their assigned Researcher can earn significant revenue because of the demand for internet research and online marketing services among clients in recruiting, sales, and human resources. In addition, because there are no other competitors who do what we do, Researchers and their Marketing Partners are in the right place at the right time. · Can I work part-time or do I need to be full-time? In order to be accepted as a Marketing Partner you must be able to commit at least 30 hours per week to this endeavor. SRN Researchers aren’t willing to invest the time to help you succeed without that commitment of time. Marketing Partners usually need to work mostly during business hours to reach the companies they will sell to. · What type of home office equipment will I need? You will need a functional home office with a desk, telephone, and a comfortable chair. You will need a PC with a high speed Internet connection and a phone. Your computer should be somewhat current and be free of games, video editing software, etc. This is all you need to get started. · What will the SRN Researcher I am assigned to do for me? As a Marketing Partner, you will be assigned to an SRN Researcher. They will provide you with complete sales and marketing support, providing you with sales leads and marketing materials to present to potential clients. In exchange, you will market their services aggressively to potential clients and be paid a commission for each project you finalize. The SRN Researcher you work with will be available throughout the process to help you accurately represent the SRN Researcher’s services. · Can I start out as a Marketing Partner and become an SRN Researcher later? No. The money and time invested by a SRN Researcher to train and support a Marketing Partner doesn’t make that possible. Marketing Partners are contractually prevented from ever becoming SRN Researchers themselves. Marketing Partners sign an extremely restrictive, ironclad agreement that prevents them from ever becoming an SRN Researcher, owning or working for a similar research or online marketing enterprise in the near future. Entrepreneurial individuals who want to run their own business and “call the shots” should explore becoming an SRN Researcher themselves. · What's the difference between a Marketing Partner and being a full blown SRN Researcher? Marketing Partners focus on selling an SRN Researcher’s services, receiving a commission for each finalized client contract. They don’t have the responsibility of spending time on running a business, conducting online marketing campaigns, or performing internet research activity. Marketing Partners can focus on sales without worrying about project fulfillment. The owner of the research and online marketing company, the SRN Researcher, must manage internet research projects and project fulfillment, managing a multitude of lead generation, search engine optimization, pay-per-click and email marketing campaigns. Overall, the SRN Researcher is responsible for managing the multiple aspects of a business, while the Marketing Partners can focus on selling the SRN Researcher’s services. · What happens if the relationship with a SRN Researcher does not work out? Strategic Research Network is very careful to assign Marketing Partners to SRN Researchers who have common interests. From time to time the relationship will not work out. If possible, and with the SRN Researcher’s permission, the Marketing Partner may be reassigned to another SRN Researcher. Without permission the Marketing Partner cannot be reassigned and must still honor the agreement. The first preference is always to work things out between an SRN Researcher and their Marketing Partner. · If I become a Marketing Partner, am I an employee? Absolutely not. Marketing Partners have their own company that contracts with Strategic Research Network. Marketing Partners have their own business and benefit from the tax benefits and legal protection associated with such. Their corporation is simply contracted with Strategic Research Network for particular services and fees. · What type of person makes a good Marketing Partner? Marketing Partners are outgoing individuals with excellent communications skills, marketing or sales acumen, and quality relationship building skills. They recognize the high value of an SRN Researcher’s services and enjoy working with clients to maximize results. Marketing Partners enjoy meeting new people, negotiating contracts, and establishing a positive ongoing relationship with the client. Marketing Partners must be comfortable working from home and be able to manage their own time and schedule. Marketing Partners, like SRN Researchers themselves, are typically attracted to the “balance of life” they can enjoy with SRN. · What is the demand for internet research and online marketing services? There is an extremely high demand for research and online marketing services. First, sales divisions are expected to do more with less today. They are all looking for ways to stimulate incremental sales. Since they already use advertising, direct mail, trade shows, etc. to generate sales, our lead data compliments their existing sales tactics. Custom generated sales leads and online marketing that creates incremental sales is exciting to B2B sales divisions where the average sale is $80,000 or more. Second, human resource departments are under pressure to fill positions while reducing their dependence on traditional recruiters. For that reason, HR has become one of the biggest users of "unbundled" research services -- whereby the Researcher locates qualified and interested individuals, then provides that information to HR, which makes contact with the prospect, invites them to interview for the job, and hopefully hires them. They’d rather pay a Researcher $5,000 than spend $20,000 for the services of a recruiter. Third, professional recruiters are relying more and more on research because they typically make over $20,000 on one placement and research helps them fill more positions, faster. Also, recruiters know that the supply and demand situation is getting worse. In coming years, the all important 25 to 44-year-old candidate population is forecasted to decline by 6%. At the same time, the "Baby-Boomer" population is just hitting retirement age and leaving the employment market. This increased demand and shrinking supply will make it harder for companies and recruiters to find the people they need. As the workforce retools and shifts gears, Researchers will be in a position to make great money, the $15 billion recruiting industry is expected to grow at more than 20% per year for years to come. · How can you teach me everything I need to know through remote training? We can’t, so we focus on teaching you what you need to get started and be productive. The rest comes from actual application, over time, of what you’ve been taught. With today’s technological advances, entire MBA courses are being conducted online, so we take advantage of such technology, and of every tool and resource available, to make your training thorough, practical, and useful. The SRN Researcher who manages you is there for you on a day-to-day basis to provide the assistance you need and ensure you have everything you need to market their services successfully. · What kind of expenses will I probably have? While you make no investment to Strategic Research Network to become a Marketing Partner, you will have some expenses. Also, any costs in setting up your home office, if you do not already have one, will be incurred. You will also need to be incorporated. We refer you to national companies that can handle your incorporation and it will more than likely cost you $400-$500, though you are free to incorporate using whatever resource you choose. Your ongoing fees will consist of Internet and phone bills that will vary in price from location to location. · Do I have to be a computer expert? No. You need a good working knowledge of computers and typical Microsoft Office applications. Marketing Partners have the ability to utilize webinars, or online conferences, with prospective clients. SRN can teach you the basics to running a webinar meeting and get you up and going quickly. · Do I need to be located in the same location as the SRN Researcher I work with? Not at all. SRN Researchers build teams in a virtual format. A Marketing Partner can work from anywhere and the SRN Researcher they work with is usually located in another state and time zone. Eventually you may meet the SRN Researcher you are working with either at a regional training event, or a coordinated meeting the two of you establish. In day to day operations, it is not necessary that the two of you be located in the same place. · I am interested, where do I go from here? The next step is to complete the Online Interview on our Marketing Partner page. At that point, an internal recruiter with SRN will speak with you to find out more about your interests. They will also outline the interview process that we ask potential Marketing Partners to complete. Good luck. |
